Case Study: A Creative Solution For a New Customer

Through the chat feature on the Korpack website, Natalie from Future came to us looking for a quick turnaround on her company’s custom box solution. As part of their promotional program, they needed a box to ship new customers an Apple watch and a water bottle when they signed up for their services.

This proved challenging as this would require two cutting dies, which would take the cost of the box out of their budget. A caffeine fueled brain storm by our engineering team lead to a creative solution that would satisfy the customer’s needs: create both designs with one die.

By using one die, we saved the customer on tooling costs, and we were able to give them both insert options. The customer now could choose which insert to use, based on whether or not an Apple watch was included.

Our engineer that worked on the project considered foam options, but he felt that was beyond our new customer’s budget and that a solution using foam would pose a problem in meeting their lead time.

With the one die solution, we were able to provide them exactly what they needed in under three weeks. The team did a phenomenal job throughout the process and truly stepped up to ensure everything was executed perfectly every step of the way.

Most importantly, Natalie was thrilled! Our custom solution not only provided her with exactly what she needed, but we also saved her 22% over any other solution presented to her by other companies.
